MaintenanceSpec builds vehicle-specific maintenance schedules from manufacturer source documents rather than general estimates.
Not every vehicle on this site has completed every step of this workflow. A schedule is only marked as published once it has passed validation. Vehicles still in progress are shown as unavailable rather than presented with guessed data.
When a manufacturer's documentation distinguishes maintenance by powertrain, MaintenanceSpec keeps those items separate rather than assuming they are identical.
Where a source document defines special or severe driving conditions with different timing, those items are tracked as their own rules rather than merged into the normal-use schedule.
Equipment that is not standard across every configuration of a model is not assumed to be present. Items tied to conditional equipment are only shown where applicability has been confirmed.
Every published maintenance item retains a reference to the document and page range it came from, so it can be checked against the original source.
When a source document is unclear or open to interpretation, the item is held for review rather than published with a guessed value.
