Report a Maintenance Data Correction

Found something in a published maintenance schedule that looks wrong? Send us the vehicle, page and maintenance item you want checked. Correction reports are reviewed against the source documentation before a published record is changed.

What to include

The more specific the report is, the easier it is to check. If possible, include:

  • Vehicle make and model
  • Model year
  • The MaintenanceSpec page URL
  • The maintenance item that looks incorrect
  • What you believe should be changed
  • A manufacturer document or source link, if you have one
Reports are stored for review against the source record attached to the vehicle.

What happens after a report is sent?

A correction report does not automatically change a published schedule.

The reported item is checked against the manufacturer source attached to the vehicle record. If the published information is wrong, the record can be corrected after the source and vehicle applicability have been confirmed.

If the existing information matches the source, no change is made simply because a different interval appears on another website.

What makes a useful source?

The strongest supporting reference is documentation published by the vehicle manufacturer, such as an owner's manual, warranty and maintenance guide or official support page.

Forum posts, dealership articles and generic maintenance charts can help explain what prompted the report, but they do not replace the manufacturer source for a vehicle-specific rule.
