Rivian R2 Maintenance Schedule

Rivian recommends tire rotation every 9,000 miles, a comprehensive inspection every 18,000 miles or 18 months, brake fluid replacement every 3 years and coolant replacement every 108,000 miles. Brake caliper cleaning and lubrication is listed every 12 months or 12,000 miles for vehicles driven on salted roads, and the cabin air filter and wiper blades are replaced as needed.

The R2 Owner's Guide states that Rivian recommends vehicle maintenance every 9,000 mi (15,000 km). In practice that visit is the tire rotation, with the larger comprehensive inspection landing every second interval at 18,000 miles or 18 months.

No engine oil service appears in Rivian's R2 maintenance list. The R2 is electric, so the recurring fluid items Rivian documents are brake fluid and coolant.

Rivian lists tire pressures and tread, brake pads and rotors, brake fluid, suspension and underbody damage, wear and fastener torques, windows, washer fluid and wipers, coolant and radiator, the low voltage battery, driver assistance sensors, lights, the cabin air filter, seat heating and cooling, vehicle functions and a test drive.

Rivian lists the cabin air filter as replace as needed rather than on a fixed interval. It is inspected and cleaned during the comprehensive inspection, and the R2 Owner's Guide covers the replacement procedure on pages 343 to 345.
