Toyota builds the Prius c schedule on a 5,000 mile or 6 month cycle. At each of those points the guide lists tire rotation, wiper blade inspection, brake lining, drum, pad and disc inspection and a check of all fluid levels. Pages 38 to 53 of the guide carry that chart.
Larger items land on multiples of the same cycle. At 15,000 miles or 18 months Toyota adds inspection of engine and inverter coolant, brake lines and hoses, drive shaft boots, ball joints and dust covers, the steering gear box and linkage, exhaust pipes and mountings and the radiator and condenser, described on page 39. At 30,000 miles or 36 months the cabin air filter and engine air filter are replaced and the automatic transmission fluid, front differential oil, fuel lines and connections, fuel tank cap gasket, fuel tank band and vapor vent hoses are inspected, from page 41. Toyota lists engine oil and filter replacement every 10,000 miles or 12 months when 0W-20 oil is used continuously under normal driving conditions, explained on pages 39 and 40. Where the vehicle is operated under Toyota's special operating conditions, or where 5W-20 oil is used, the guide shortens that to 5,000 miles or 6 months, pages 38 and 39. Three items sit far out in the 2016 record and are noted at the end of the chart. Engine coolant is first replaced at 100,000 miles or 120 months and then every 50,000 miles or 60 months. Inverter coolant follows at 150,000 miles or 180 months, then the same 50,000 mile or 60 month repeat. Spark plugs are listed at 120,000 miles or 144 months as an item required under the terms of the Emission Control Warranty.
